Mediofondo Route: an adventure through nature and adrenaline

gruppo di ciclisti in salita durante la gara

A route that starts from the heart of Livigno and leads to the iconic climb of the 2024 Giro d’Italia.

The short route will start from the Aquagranda Sports Center in Livigno, then head through the town center along the main road, reaching the Forcola Pass and crossing into Switzerland. From there, a scenic and technically demanding section leads to the Bernina Pass, including the final, grueling switchbacks. A descent through the Engadine Valley follows, a final crossing through the Munt La Schera tunnel, and the finish line at Mottolino retracing the iconic climb of the 2024 Giro d’Italia.

To ensure greater safety for everyone, at the request of the Swiss local authorities, the final ranking will be based on the total time recorded across the climbs listed below. Therefore, between one hill climb and another, as there is no competition, participants are required to comply with traffic regulations.
